Recipe - green hummus

Receta - hummus verde
Today we provide you with an easy and very nutritious recipe for breakfast.

   Green hummus with wholemeal bread is a very nutritious and delicious breakfast for both children and adults.


1 cup cooked chickpeas
1/2 bunch parsley
1/2 small clove of garlic
1 tablespoon olive oil
a pinch of white pepper
a few drops of lemon juice
black cumin seeds for sprinkling (or other seeds)

   Pour the chickpeas into the bowl of a food processor. Add the chopped parsley leaves without the stems, garlic, lemon juice, pepper and oil.

Blend to a smooth paste.

Serve with your favourite wholemeal bread, sprinkled with cumin.

This quantity will make about 4-5 sandwiches.

You can also use this paste as a pesto for pasta. It's a great option for a quick lunch. It can also be sprinkled with parmesan cheese for children over one year old and adults.
